What is ILCU?

ILCU is a gigantic network of super-duper things to do and people to do them with in your free time. ILCU allows you to see what's going on in your area that's relevant to you-everything from stadium-sized concerts to happy hour at your local pub-AND who's going to be there. You set your preferences, tell us where you're located, and create a social network. Our database provides you with copious options for filling up your free time.

Is there a fee to use it?

Nope. ILCU is completely free of charge-so you can save your cash for cocktailing at events.

What the heck are tags?

Tag is a fancy new word for keyword. You should add tags to your profile (the more, the merrier) that describe you and what you like to do so that you'll be presented with events that actually interest you. Example: if you're a hardcore bowler that practices Kung Fu and dabbles in macramé, some of your tags would be "bowling," "Kung Fu" and "macramé."

How do I get started using ILCU?

1. Register. Make sure you've filled in your profile complete with a killer photo and tags (a.k.a. keywords that describe you and your interests). Tags are important because they enable the system to present you with events that actually interest you and allow people to find you.

2. Create a social network. You can make other ILCU members friends or invite friends to join who haven't yet discovered the wonders of ILCU.

3. Add events to your Upcoming Events. Browse through Recommended Events (based on your interests, whereabouts, and where your friends are going) and click 'yes' or 'maybe' on the ones that interest you.

4. Post your own groovy events. You can choose to show a specific event to a specific group of people or make it public for all of ILCU to see.

4. Invite your friends to events you're going to. Or at least the friends you want to see there. After all, it's really the people that make the event or place, right?

5. Go to the events - dance, mingle, drink yourself silly. But don't drink and drive. That's bad.

6. Upload your photos from the event to show everyone what a good time you had and what they missed out on (if they weren't there).

7. When the week is over, start again at #2.

How is my privacy protected?

We don't take much seriously-except meals and your privacy. We won't sell your personal info to ANYONE-not even Bill Gates-and we won't send you spam. Within your ILCU profile, you can choose to show your upcoming events only to friends.
